How to use Semban
A tool for the game already in progress. Life, damage, score and time each get their own page, and every value stays in this browser.
What this is
A counter for card and board games in progress. It replaces the pen and paper, the life dial and the spare dice with the phone already on the table. Nothing to install, no account. Open the address and count.
There are five pages: life 20 or 40, LP 8000, damage in tens, a score sheet and a turn timer. Start values and buttons differ, so they do not share one screen. Pick the page that matches the game and you only see that page's buttons.
Your last game stays in this browser. Lock the phone, open it again, and the numbers are still there. The first screen asks whether to pick it up or start fresh.
Where the start values come from
Every start value and threshold on screen was read off the publisher's official rules text. On 21 September 2026 we opened the source PDFs and text files and recorded the line numbers, and that table lives in one data file in this app. Each page prints its source and the date it was checked.
Games that are not in that table are not on screen. Start values for other card games, or target scores for games like Catan or Splendor, have not been read from their official rulebooks. So we do not hardcode them; you enter them yourself on the score sheet. Not one number here was written from memory.
The halve button is not a rule. It divides the current total by two and rounds down. Which way to round is something the players settle, so we do not present our choice as a rule.

Page by page
Life 20 or 40 seats two to six players. Life moves by 1 on a tap and 10 on a hold. Poison counters and commander damage are tracked per player, and a seat is flagged when poison reaches 10 or commander damage reaches 21. Presets are 20, Commander 40, Two-Headed Giant 30, Brawl 25 and 30, and Archenemy 40.
LP 8000 is fixed at two seats. A tap moves 50 and a hold moves 500, and the keypad subtracts any amount in one go. There is a halve button, plus one coin flip and one die. Presets are 8000 and Speed Duel 4000.
Damage in tens moves 10 on a tap and 100 on a hold. Prize cards count down from six and the seat is flagged at zero. The five status markers are burned, asleep, poisoned, paralyzed and confused. Burned and asleep call for a coin flip, so the coin sits on the same screen.
The score sheet seats two to eight players and takes one row per round. Totals accumulate per seat, and if you set a target score, whoever reaches it is flagged. Leave the target empty and nothing is flagged.
The turn timer is a chess clock. Tap your own side and your clock stops, your increment is added, and your opponent's clock starts. Time runs from 5 to 60 minutes and the increment from 0 to 30 seconds. Those are convenient choices, not any game's official time control.
Basics
Tap the big area. The targets are large so you do not have to aim. The narrow strip at the top subtracts and the wide area below adds. The size difference is itself the guard against a misfire.
Tapped wrong? Hit undo. Up to 400 steps are kept and the last one is reversed first. The number of undos shows up in the recap.
When two of you share one phone, turn on face to face. The top half rotates 180 degrees so the player across the table reads it upright. The two halves are separate seats, so tapping one never moves the other.
Sound and vibration can be switched off. So can keep screen on, and devices that do not support it get a line of text instead.
A bit more
Hold for the bigger step: 10 for life, 500 for LP, 100 for damage in tens. When a big hit lands, keep your finger down instead of tapping repeatedly.
Hit end game for the recap card. It shows each seat from start value to final value, how long the game ran, how many taps and how many undos. Copy the text straight into your group chat. Nothing is uploaded.
The note field takes a game name or a short line. We do not offer a list of games, because anyone playing something not on the list would be stuck. Whatever you type is used only in the recap and never leaves the device.
Turn order and team splits are not here. Building the same thing twice makes two tools hide each other. Use the sibling app Ppobgi for that.
Where people get stuck
You refreshed and the numbers are still there. That is intended. The last game stays in this browser and the first screen asks whether to pick it up. To clear it, choose drop it and start fresh, or hit erase from this browser on the privacy page.
It does not show up on your other device. There is no account and no server storage, so values live only in that one browser.
The screen keeps going dark. Check that keep screen on is enabled. It works from Safari 16.4 on iOS and Chrome 84 on Android. On devices without it, raise the screen timeout in the system settings.
It will not declare a winner. By design. We flag the threshold and the people at the table make the call.
Game names and trademarks
This app is not affiliated with any game publisher and is not an official tool. It carries no logos, no card art and no proprietary typefaces. It uses only the numbers and facts the rules state.
The LP 8000 page is a counter for people playing the Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game. That single line is a statement of purpose under Article 90(1)(2) of the Korean Trademark Act, which is why the name appears nowhere in the app name, the address or the page titles.
The damage in tens page does not name its game at all. That publisher explicitly forbids using its brand assets in an app or domain name. So we wrote it with numbers only.
No automatic rulings, on purpose
We do not decide who won. Rules get read differently at the table, and the people sitting there settle it. We flag when a threshold is hit and leave the call to you.
